False advertising.

So the time has come to upgrade my contract. I looked in all the different Vodacom service providers brochures and make my choice of handset. I call all the shops in Bloemfontein and despite the handset being advertised extensively there are not one available.

On Tuesday last weekI take a drive to the Vodacom shop in Loch Logan and they say they will process my application and get a handset in by Friday 31/05/2019. They did check availability and confirmed that there were available and will be sent from head-office to the branch.

Today Wednesday 5/06/2019I contacted them as I have not heard back from them only to be informed that the device did not arrive and they cannot tell me when, if ever it will be available?

Why advertise something that is not available? And no its not a device that is in massive demand. I also cannot understand how in this day and age there is not a system that a Vodashop can log into and see who has stock of a product? I asked and most shops phoned their other branches to ask?
