Good day
I have been to the Vodacom store in Sandton a week before I wished to apply for P20 PRO TWILIGHT R699 FLEXI R165 PM*24 1 GIG DATA *24 MONTHS + PSMART FREE PHONE+U CHOOSE FLEXI
I was advised about the contract deal which included all of the above for R699 per month I confirmed everything at the store and was advised that they would have to order the twilight for me as the store didn’t have stock.
on the 22nd of May 2018 I done the contract application at the Vodacom store in Sandton City and was advised again of the deal and also advised that they will advise me of the approval and order the twilight for me .
I was then advised that everything went through but they needed to order the stock for me and it would take a week to come. I was super excited and waited for the phone
I called the store a few times in the week to check as well.
On the 30th of March the Vodacom store called me and advised that they have received the phone and I can come to the store to collect and activate the phone.
While at the store the consultant by the name of Lear Stobber assisted me with the application , I then clearly confirmed with him everything that the contaract included before signing the quote and application and contract, I then signed , he then captured on system and then I was waiting for him to activate the sim cards. he opened up the phone and made me sign the quote and activation sheet for the phone
.Lear who done my application then says to me that the contract no longer includes the 1 gig per month , He then confirmed soemthing with his manager by the name of Shanisani Madzivhandila, she then sent a whatsapp to someone on her phone to someone to confirm something.
And then he shows me another phone with an email that came through saying that the contract was wrong advertising, he then insists and says he cant give it to me anymore with lots of attititude , I then told him that its no my problem because when I was at the store he confirmed that it included the one gig, he calls his manager his manager also had a lot of attitude she says that it doesn’t include it, we then tell his manager that he just confirmed with myself , and my brother and sister who were witnesses advising us that it does include the one gig,
He then denies it and makes us *****.
His manager then says oh they received the email a week ago to say it was wrong advertising , so unprofessional wasn’t even sure about this to whatsapp someone and find out .
This is FALSE ADVERTISING AS PER THE CONSUMER ACT 2007, firstly they were still keeping the brochures with wrong information, not advising customers about the change etc and tell me after me being so excited for the phone , waiting so long for it and then the manager takes the phones away and tells someone at the store to reset it .
I HAVE PROOF AS WELL OF THE FALSE ADVERTISING IN THE STORE
Firstly the manner in which she handled the case was pathetic and unprofessional.
THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING AND AS A MANAGER YOU NEED TO GIVE IT TO HOW THE CUSTOMER WAS PROMISED AND STOP KEEPING BROCHURES WHICH ARE LIES AND MISLEADING.
AFTER ALL THIS HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FALSE ADVERTISING I WEANT THIS PHONE FOR FREE WITH THE CONTRACT TO COMPENSATE ME, COS EVEN IF YOU GIVE ME THE ONE GIG ITS LIKE I HAD TO BEG FOR IT.
I WANT THIS SORTED OUT WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT OR ELSE I WILL ESCALATE THIS AND TAKE IT UP WITH THE OMBUDSMAN.
