I was sent an SMS notifying me that my contract is due for an upgrade. I went to vodaworld to get an upgrade. I knew what I wanted and picked up a pamphlet which had the phone I wanted advertised for R299 a month. Upon upgrading the salesman told me that he is not sure but the price on the system is different to what's advertised on the pamphlet(the pamphlet deals are valid until 8 October). The price on the system shows R299 for a flexi 150 but the pamphlet advertised the flexi 200 for R299. The salesman and his supervisor told us that there is nothing they can do as this was not on their system and they think it was a mistake... I told them that I would like that deal from the beginning so insisting that I get what's advertised was not a surprise. They refused to upgrade the contract giving me what was advertised on their pamphlet. I really did not want to upgrade after all the bad publicly but I still decided to give them another chance but if I don't get the contract advertised, I will be taking this up with the consumer council. This is false adverti*****t.
