**** warranty
1) I took 2 Samsung S7's on my last upgrade with Vodacom. After my upgrade I had no service for 3 months. Vodacom claimed that they switched over to a new system and that was the reason for their network glitches. There was no appology nor any sort of compensation offered, however, my account was debited on time. Vodacom will charge you for services NOT rendered.
2) Then there was the constant issues over the past year where data kept disappearing from my phone and where I had to constantly contact the call centres to rectifty these glitches. They did restore my data every time but it was really unnecessary time wasted.
3) And now for the final straw. Samsung has become more famous recently for their phones batteries instead of their phones features. I had to learn this the hard way. Both my S7's tend to heat up very badly when I use them for more then 15 minutes at a time. My initial solution was to avoid spending too much time on the phone. Obviously, this becomes virtually impossible to maintain time constraints and eventually you find yourself spending much more then just 15 minutes on your phone. This lead to my battery swelling to the extent that the phone split in two. But Vodacom and Samsung have found a loophole which gets them out of the warranty promises that they make. If your phone has any scratches or cracked screen (no matter how small the crack is), Vodacom will NOT repair your phone under warranty. You WILL be charged a phenomenal fee even though the swelling of the battery has absolutely nothing to do with the above mentioned. This is misleading from both Vodacom and Samsung.
As the old saying goes, 3 strikes and you're out!
