Failure/Unwilling to port a number.
I've tried to port my business number from the start of April. The Cancellation Docs were set up and sent in 1 day. The Premature End of Contract Invoice took 1 week to process by Vodacom. Eventually it was received and forwarded to my new SP. Some emails and messages passed between the 2 SP's. Still 4 messages to go. My Service is blocked due to the March invoice not being paid. This arrears is included in the Prem Invoice. This morning, in an attempt to sort the problem, I visited the local VODACOM Branch in Brits. They said that the Porting Department is not working over the weekends. The request can only be handled during the week.<br> Astonishing that there are various Vodacom call centers, and none of them can handle this Porting Problem. I am sure that it is a computer regulated process, and does not mean that someone needs to physically go to some computer, and pull my \contract plug\" from the machine. It seems that they have some underlying problem to stop people to port to another SP. SERIOUSLY, BUILD A BRIDGE! All the actions and numerous calls to the call centers, during the last 3 weeks, only means that I will not recommend Vodacom to anyone else as a 'reliable SP' !"
