Failure to upgrade within the promised 3-24 hours

On 8/4/2017 between 15h00 and 15h30, I "upgraded" at Vodacom, Brooklyn Mall. More than 30 hours, three phone calls, two call centre agents and two "dropped calls" later, my new phone can still only make emergency calls and is still not registered on the Vodacom network. The sub-standard after-sales service at 111 customer "care" makes me wish that I had rather migrated to one of the rival companies. I'm not near a Vodacom outlet, so it appears a lot of inconvenience and unnecessary traveling still lies ahead to resolve what in fact currently amounts to a downgrade.
