Failure to resolve router complaint

I complained to Vodacom about my router that I received from them, only allowed the use of Vodacom SIM cards. After not receiving any help from Vodacom, I posted a review with HelloPeter on 23 Jan 2017.

I received this response from Vodacom: “Kindly have the router booked in at your nearest Vodacom Repairs store to have the network lock removed from the device. You may also call Repairs Escalations on ********** for assistance with this.”

After the Vodacom shop at Wonderboom Junction told me they were unable to assist, they referred me to the Collonade Vodacom shop

On 15-02-2017 Musi, the technician at the Collonade Vodacom shop told me he could not remove the lock on my router.

I am not at all impressed by the poor service and unnecessary inconvenience that I experienced and I find the practice of blocking other service providers’ SIMs to be ********* and anti-competitive!

I expect that Vodacom supplies me with a router that is not blocked.

On receipt I shall return the unit that was supp**** to me at the outset of my contract with the Vodacom.

I posted further reviews with HelloPeter on 17 Feb and 3 March 2017.

Despite receiving an assurance from Vodacom that they would contact me, no call was forthcoming
