Failure to provide service offered, or rectify the issue

I renewed my Vodacom contract on the 12th of June 2017, where I opted to take a new phone and insurance. The insurance was never loaded for my device, and after months of back of forth the issue has not been resolved. The "solution" provided is that I contact the insurance provider directly to register the insurance. There are a couple of problems with this:

1. I signed up through Vodacom so I didn't have to chase up on this. Why is it now my problem because a Vodacom employee wasn't competent enough to fill the application properly?

2. If I go directly to the insurance company, my total monthly rate will be higher than what was originally quoted to me, which as far as I'm concerned constitutes *****.

At this point, I will certainly NOT be recommending Vodacom to anyone, and will be looking into moving all contracts away from Vodacom in future. Frankly, this kind of lack of service is disgusting.

I was told in an email 3 weeks ago that I would be contacted in 5-7 working days. I have still not been contacted since that email. If this is how long your 5-7 days takes, I shudder to think what "in due course" means.

So, I got a call, telling me that somebody would get hold of the next day (not sure what the point of that was). That was the 2nd, it's now the 7th. Guess what? No contact. Sooo.... next lie?

Correction, this matter has been acknowledged, but certainly does NOT appear to be getting addressed. I just get passed back and forth with different people blaming other people for the issue. Replying here 17 days after my last comment just to try make it appear like you address issues is, quite frankly, shameful.
