Failure to Provide Adequate Support for eSIM Services

Vodacom Customer Service Team,

I am writing to express my extreme frustration with the lack of assistance I have received from Vodacom regarding eSIM facilities. Despite offering eSIM services, it appears that your stores are unable to support or supply them.

Over the past two years, I have visited the Festival Mall Vodacom store on multiple occasions, only to be told that they cannot assist me with obtaining an eSIM due to facilities being offline. Finally, after persisting, I was able to obtain an eSIM. However, when I recently upgraded my phone, I was unable to get assistance from Vodacom in transferring the eSIM from my old phone to my new one.

The excuse given was that they were unable to print the QR code required for the eSIM transfer. Instead, they offered to provide me with a physical SIM card, which is not what I requested. As my phone only has a single SIM slot, a physical SIM card would be useless to me.

I have also contacted Vodacom Greenstone store and received the same unhelpful response. This is despite being told by Vodacom's customer care online team to visit a store for assistance. It would have been more helpful if they had informed me that the facilities were offline and that I should not waste my time visiting a store.

As a loyal Vodacom customer of over 16 years, I am extremely disappointed in the level of service I have received. I am actively considering migrating to a different service provider at the first opportunity.
