Failure to honor legal requests

I have been a loyal client of Vodacom for many years.

I had a contract which ended last year and I have been on a month to month contract since then. My mom is using this number but I am responsible for payments. I opted to cancel the contract this year via email and numerous calls but with no success. I started disputing the payments with FNB all the way back to March and clawed back the money. Each time I call, I am told it will be cancelled and each month my account is debited by a higher amount(including the disputed amounts). No doubt I owe Vodacom a small portion of what I am being invoiced for but the refusal to cancel my policy will result in me having a bad credit score. It was suggested that I pay the amount over and once it is sorted, I will be refunded what is due to me. I am refusing to do this until my account is cancelled and the correct amount invoiced to me.

My partner had a similar issue last year and it took months before the issued a refund. This also after numerous, inconvenient and time consuming follow ups via email and calls.

It is not our job to make sure that requests are fulfilled by Vodacom.

Please help as I am not sure what to to get this sorted.

Thank you,

Reviewer Update
Hello

Could you please update my status with the credit bureau.

My account was not paid while a matter was being sort out and the delay was due to Vodacom's process.

I would hugely appreciate if you could assist as it is affecting my credit score negatively.

Thank you,
Colleen
