Failure to change banking details
I contacted Vodacom during February regarding my debit order as I was closing my business account and needed the banking details changed for my debit order. I was told to drop of a letter on the company letterhead, together with a copy of my ID at the Hillcrest branch of Vodacom. My wife did this on 04 March 2015 at 13:24 - she handed it to Nophiwa who checked with the Manager on duty - he advised that everything was in order. She informed them of the urgency as the account that was on the system had just been closed. On 17 March 2015, I noticed that my debit order did not come off. I contacted Vodacom who advised that they never received any instruction from the Hillcrest branch. I contacted Hillcrest on 17.03.15 and spoke to the Manager who said he would check on it and get back to me - NO FEEDBACK! I phoned again today to speak to him and he is not in! I spoke to another lady there over an hour ago who said she would check on it and get straight back to me - still nothing! This is UNACCEPTABLE - I will not be held liable for any penalties as I did everything that I was instructed to do.
