Failure to cancel debit order and ********* billing
Dear Vodacom
I cancelled my data month to month subscription with you in December 2019 via the phone as per your website’s instructions (the contract had come to an end over a year prior). Since March I have been rejecting your debit orders as you continue to try bill me. I have spoken to two of your agents and nothing has happened. I am now getting threatening phone calls that you are handing me over to authorities to pay the outstanding amount since December (meaning you still have not cancelled my contract even after reiterating this to your agents on two separate occasions). I have been with Vodacom for years, and you will notice I have never missed a payment, or in fact any other debit order. Ironically, it is you who owe me money for the several months of billing I could not reverse, and I should be the one handing you over.
As a customer, what more can I do once I have phoned in as per your website’s instructions to cancel my contact? Must I then continue phoning and spend large amounts of time on hold to reiterate that my debit order must be cancelled only for it not to be done anyway? Even after speaking to your agents nothing has happened meaning communication continues to be an issue on your part.
To make matters worse, the ****le I was paying for was problematic since day one and you will see an immense amount of data unused. Trying to cancel the service with you was so difficult that I put it off until over a year after the contract had ended.
This needs to be resolved immediately.
