Failed attempt to upgrade

An application for a simple SIM upgrade took place early May with Vodacom. This in itself took a few days of phone calls only to be told that the ‘back office’ would not approve the upgrade as I had not paid the account. This was true as I had forgotten but paid immeadiately and all seemed set to go ahead. The ‘back office’ then informed me via the lady processing my application that I was still in arrears. Two years ago at upgrade time precisely the same scenario presented itself. I paid late but the amount did not reflect on my account the following month. Despite repeated calls and assurances that it would be sorted out noting ever happened to this day. The first time I contacted the CEO’s office and I was referred straight back to the lady who tried to assist in the first place who responded the same way as previously. I informed her that I refuse to dance with her account office again as it was a waste of my time and money previously and further requested that her accounts department supply me with proof of the missed payment with dates included. Passing the buck was my response to the CEO’s office. I sent this in an email after which a representative of the CEO contacted me again and promised to contact me by 10 o’clock the next morning. This was supposed to take place on 31st May 2019. I was even supp**** a ticket number. To date nothing has transpired. No response, no upgrade nothing but still the accounts are sent. This is how the CEO and his staff ‘manage’ Vodacom. The customer that ensures the fat salaries and big bonuses is regarded as a captive audience so the company can do as it pleases. Pathetic. And so the fiasco continues.
