Fail to comply with contract and customer at loss

Should I be surprised or even shocked with the feedback I have received around the inability of Vodacom to activate my new contract!

I had a contract with Vodacom which expired in the last year after which I cancelled it and changed it to pay as you go. Approximately two weeks ago I signed a contract to change my pay as you go number to contract again. The contract has failed to be activated and the response I have received is that as the number was on contract and then pay as you go, it cannot be put onto contract again until a period of 6 or 7 months has elapsed.

I find this to be absolutely Ludacris that I can port my Vodacom number to another service provider but I cannot take out a contract with my current supplier.

I have performed my obligations in terms of the contract I signed and it is you as Vodacom that have failed to perform in terms of your obligations. Providing me with one of the two following options as a solutions utterly unacceptable:
1.Activate the contract and give me a new number
2.Return the device
3.Blacklist the phone should it not be returned

As an attorney I will take legal action to address any ******** actions of Vodacom in their dealings with me.
