Extremely Unhappy Client

I have been with Vodacom for many years and even though they are often pricey in comparison to other network providers, I remained with them because I valued their Customer Service. At least that is what I believed until recently. I had taken up 2 cellphone contracts in 2019 and 2020 respectively, one was for my husband and the other was for myself. These contracts were due to end in July 22 and Jan 23 and during the contract periods, both numbers reflected on my profile as I was the person who took up the contract. In June 22, we requested transfer of my husband's contract to his name. In the process, Vodacom transferred my whole account to his profile for some reason. For 6 months, I called almost daily trying to determine why I couldn't access my profile. It took them 6 months to eventually figure out what the problem was. During this time Vodacom called to inform me that they were changing their packages to a new one and that I needed to upgrade. I indicated to them that I was not ready to upgrade since my contract was still valid. What Vodacom did is that they changed my contract to the new one and that also increased my premiums. I called them to indicate my dissatisfaction and I was told there is nothing they can do. I had a 24 months contract that stipulated an agreed amount without increase within the contract period. Had I at any point missed a payment, they would have disconnected my services and yet they saw it fit to change contract terms without my approval. In Dec 22, I called Vodacom to cancel my 20mb/s Fibre Contract for R759p/m with them as I had been offered a package that would give me 30mb/s at R488p/m. In order for me to move over to the new provider, I required a cancellation letter from Vodacom. The agent I spoke to told me that Vodacom would match what I was being offered and since this meant not having to deal with an interruption in my internet services, I obviously agreed. We then agreed that it would take about a week for me to get a response from them, but I was assured that by beginning of Jan 23, I would be on the reduced package. 3 weeks passed with no feedback. When I eventually received a call after numerous calls from my side, I was informed that the department that dealt with the matter was on leave. At this stage I had not cancelled my application with the other service provider as I had not received confirmation from Vodacom regarding the approval of new package. The process was finalised on 6 Jan 23 and I was informed that I would not be billed on the previous package in Jan 23 as the delay was on Vodacom's side. On the 15th when the debit order came out, the billing was for the previous package. During application I also found out that some time in 2022, Vodacom had transferred me from 20mb/s to 50mb/s with an increase in premium, once again without my approval. The answer I received was that they sent me an email, which I still haven't been able to locate. I requested feedback regarding this a week ago and to date I am still waiting. On 16 Jan 23 I called to add wifi extenders to my fibre contract and I took up an offer to pay R176p/m for 2 extenders over 12 months. I just had to wait for the quotation to be sent so that I could approve it and then the contract would be proccesed. When I received the quote, it was for R292 and what frustrated me even more was the fact that the quote included the 30mb/s fibre line that I had already finalised, but at R488 plus R99 VAT. I called to enquire and was informed that one of the sales agent would call me to correct that. That didn't happen and 2 days later I received another quote with no changes whatsoever. I am extremely unhappy for having to deal with such service from Vodacom.
