Extremely Poor Service and Communication from Vodacom

I have now been waiting **33 days** for feedback and resolution regarding my order from Vodacom. Throughout this entire process, I have had to constantly follow up myself, with little to no proactive communication from Vodacom's side.

After numerous promises and at least six follow-ups, I was finally informed that my delivery was on its way. Naturally, I expected to receive the device I had ordered. However, when the courier arrived, they delivered only a Vodacom SIM card and not the actual device I purchased.

At no point was this communicated to me beforehand. I was repeatedly given the impression that my full order was being delivered, which turned out not to be the case. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and false expectations created by Vodacom have been incredibly frustrating.

As a customer, I expect honest updates and clear communication, especially when there are delays or issues with an order. Instead, I have experienced over a month of uncer*****y, repeated follow-ups, and ultimately a delivery that was not what was promised.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service received and would appreciate urgent intervention and a clear explanation as to when I can expect to receive the device that I ordered.

Extremely Disappointed with Vodacom’s Handling and False PromisesAfter waiting more than 2 months following approval of my device application, Vodacom has finally admitted the truth — the device I app**** for is supposedly out of stock and nearing end-of-life.What is extremely frustrating is the fact that Vodacom still proceeded with:
  • A full credit check
  • Approval of the contract
  • Multiple promises that my device would be delivered
  • Continuous follow-ups from my side with little to no honest communication
At no point during these two months was I informed that there was a stock issue. Instead, I was repeatedly given false hope that my order was on the way.To make matters worse, a courier eventually arrived only with a SIM card — not the actual device I had been approved for. I immediately sent the SIM card back, yet Vodacom still debited me for it.The most disappointing part of this entire experience is that no proper solution or alternative was offered. After months of waiting, Vodacom simply contacted me to cancel the order and left me without a backup plan, replacement option, or any effort to retain me as a customer. This entire process reflects:
  • Poor communication
  • Lack of transparency
  • False expectations
  • Wasted time
  • Extremely poor customer service
Customers deserve honesty from the start. If there is no stock available, this should be communicated immediately — not after months of delays, promises, approvals, and unnecessary debit orders.I expected far better service and professionalism from Vodacom.
