Extremely poor customer service

In short I am posting this because Vodacom's customer service SUCKS very badly. In fact its worse than SUCKS because its non-existent. Try phoning 082111 or 082135 or ***4. You wait for 10 to 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone while you listen to a painful voice asking you to rate the service you have not received except that the call always gets cut-off deliberately so you cannot rate the service. So I have been a customer of Vodacom for some 30 years ever since the cellular industry started. Just look at my mobile no and you will know I was one of the very first corporate people to be issued with a cellular no from Vodacom. Vodacom’s cellular network is pretty good because there’s no actual human interaction involved. The minute you require any form of human interaction with Vodacom is when everything goes to hell. I have been trying to upgrade a data sim contract since last year June 2019. I cannot tell you how many phone calls I made trying to make this happen. In the end it was easier to insist they cancel the contract. On 25 Jan 2020 I took out a brand new data contract thinking it was going to be easy. No chance !! I have made at least 5 phone calls since then trying to sort the delivery address. How is it that Vodacom done know where I live after I have been Fica’d and Rica’d to death. My Address has not changed in 20 years. Guess what the address Vodacom have on file for me is wrong. Given all the legislation Fica Rica personal correspondence etc HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE ?! Today is 3 Jan 2020 and the data sim I ordered on the 25th Dec still has not arrived. If I don’t get it by the 4th Jan consider the order cancelled as well as any other contract commitments with Vodacom.

So no one has contacted me at all to find out what the problem despite my rather elaborate explanation. I see on the RAM they simply sent back my order to Vodacom because Vodacom did not supply them with a street name on the address. I cannot understand why it is so hard for Vodacom to simply supply the correct delivery address. Why is it so hard for Vodacom to achieve such a simple task !!! Please people wake up smell the roses. I am trying to throw money at you and you simply cant get the most basic tasks correct. How does Vodacom as a business exist at all ? This has to be the most frustrating experience I have had besides Eskom load shedding of course. Vodacom are a close 2nd behind Eskom.
