Extremely Disappointed with Vodacom - Fell Victim to ****

I am writing this review with immense disappointment and frustration after recently falling victim to a **** that purported to be associated with Vodacom. The experience I have had has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to share my story to alert others and express my dissatisfaction with Vodacom's handling of the situation.

I received a call from an individual claiming to be a Vodacom representative, informing me that I had won three prizes in the unlocksummer challenges – a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, an instant cash reward of R25,000 from Standard Bank, and an Audi A3 35 Tfsi. What followed was a series of demands for payments, starting with R450 in a BLU Voucher and escalating to a total of R1550, paid in two separate transactions, followed by an additional R780 due to supposed issues with the initial transaction.

This alarming pattern continued with further demands for payments, raising serious doubts about the legitimacy of the entire situation. The ****mers, including a person named Josh Miller, claimed to work at NETSTAR Tracking, further adding confusion and suspicion to the already distressing ordeal.

Aside from the financial losses incurred, the unprofessionalism displayed by these ****mers is unacceptable. I was contacted during non-business hours on weekends, and the language used during our interactions was inappropriate.

I understand that ****mers can exploit any company's name, but I expected a more robust response and action from Vodacom to address the issue promptly and protect its customers. The lack of preventive measures and the failure to safeguard customers from such ****s are deeply troubling.

I am sharing this review to warn others about the potential risks associated with interacting with individuals claiming to be from Vodacom and to express my disappointment in the company's response to this incident. I hope this review prompts Vodacom to take immediate action to investigate and address such ****s more effectively in the future.

I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution and vigilance when dealing with communications claiming to be from Vodacom, especially if they involve unexpected prize winnings and payment requests.

Sincerely,

Maxwell Osborne
