Extremely disappointed in Vodacom.

I've been with Vodacom for years now. My very 1st contract was with them and I've been a very pleased customer. Last year September I took out a new contract with Vodacom. Now, the thing with me is I take pride in looking after my belongings, when I get a new phone it goes into a protective case and it stays there. I take care in to not damaging it and my cellphones always look brand new, even after years of use. Much to my dismay my brand new phone's top speaker started not working properly. As the phone was only 4 months old this was worrying.

I took it to the Vodacom store in my town, waited 2 hours to be helped. The store rep who helped me was quick, it only took 5 mins. This alone was of great annoyance, I had to wait 2 hours for something that only took 5 mins. The rep told me it will be sent for repairs and it will take up to 2 weeks. I ended up waiting a full month for my device to return. When I went in to collect my phone it turns out whoever "fixed" my phone only damaged it even more. The phone couldn't even switch on. I sat down with a different store rep and he assured me I will have the phone replaced.

A few days later I phoned the repair centre and was informed the battery was damaged and I WILL NOT be getting a new phone as it is still repairable. A week went by and I contacted the repair centre enquiring about the device repair status, the lady told me it has been sent out for delivery to my town and I will be able to get it Tuesday (today) latest. I went it a few mins ago and they do not have my device.

I am extremely disappointed with how Vodacom is handling the situation. From sitting in line for hours, the store never answering their phones when contacting them to the repair centre DAMAGING a device. This is unacceptable. I lost faith in a brand I trusted for years and they are giving me a phone back that had factory faults and was damaged by the repair centre.
