Extremely disappointed

I have three contracts with vodacom all linked to my main number ***.

I went into vodacom outlet at Victoria Road Pietermaritzburg on the 17 August 2019 to pay my account.

I was told that this number is due for an upgrade and was offered a package that would make my contract cheaper, after asking numerous times to please check and make sure that it is in fact my *** number that it is due for an upgrade, I was assured that it was. The upgrade was done and I received a new handset.

When I received my next bill I saw that there was no change to my account, going into the invoice I see that I am been charged for two handsets, when I phoned the Victoria Road branch and spoke to Arnold it took them three days of not taking my calls and I was asked to please come into the branch. I was told that this number in fact had already been upgraded in October 2018 and that the Vodacom system never picked up that an upgrade has already been done. I do not keep track of when each of my three numbers upgrade. I find it ironic that the system never picked up that a upgrade had been done but the system knows that I have two handsets.

Now this leaves me with paying for two handsets which I find very unfair as I would have never gone in for an upgrade if I was not due for one (as I always get a notice to say I am due for an upgrade) but the consultant insisted I was due an upgrade.

I have since been to the Vodacom at Midlands Mall in Pietermaritzburg on the 12th September 2019 and spoke to Shaun, after no feed back my husband went in to see what he can find out. We have been told to go back to the Vodacom in Victoria road as they need to solve the problem there, my only problem is that no one there is willing to help me saying it is my fault and I should just pay.

This has forced me to take matters further.
