Extremely Bad Service with Vodacom Upgrade

On the 15th November I upgraded my existing contract with Vodacom. As I upgraded from a Cell Phone device to a Wi-Fi device I was told that I could only activate it on the 1st Dec 2106. On the first I tried calling to activate the device and do a sim swap. After spending almost an hour or 2 trying to get hold of somebody nobody was answering the phones on the call centre line. I went to the Vodacom Sandton City store to activate the sim. Was told that all should be fine in about 2 - 4 hours. Well it was not. Again spending the entire Friday afternoon on the phone with Vodacom to get it sorted out I was told that it would be activated and sorted in 4 hours and somebody will call me. Nobody called. On Sat afternoon I went to the Alberton Vodacom shop and after another 1/2 hour or so of frustration was told that my account was one of the upgrades that was not loaded. I was promised that this would be sorted out and will be loaded by Mon 5th Dec and again a call from an agent was promised. Tuesday 6th Dec I spent almost another hour on the phone to Vodacom only to be told that it was loaded on Monday but was in for authorising. Now Wed morning 8:27 while typing this review I have been on hold for 25 mins so far and still no response from the call centre. All I frikking want is the 5 gigs of data to be allocated and the unnecessary cost of R149 for data on Saturday to be refunded. I am furious and frustrated that a large company of this magnitude can be so slack. I have been promised call backs and nobody has responded. Maybe this complaint on Hello Peter will get their butts into gear and I will enjoy the use of my Wi-Fi.

I shudder to think what hell I am going to have when I upgrade my other contract with Vodacom in March 2017.

Lets see if Vodacom value their clients and actually call me back now that I have put a complaint on Hello Peter.

Despite my post on Hello Peter and the above reply I 'd now like to make another comment:
THIS ISSUE HAS STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED. What is it going to take for Vodacom to sort this issue out. Promises were made that the issue would be resolved by 1 Jan 2017 and all would be 100%. Surprise Surprise It is not sorted. The following is yet another email I have sent through to Vodacom today 12th Jan following numerous calls and literally hours on the phone to Vodacom and still no data has been received on what is suppose to be an upgrade to a 5gig contract per month.
Good Day
Despite my ranting and raving and spending hours on my phone to Vodacom NOBODY has made any effort to contact me on my cell 082 ********** as yet.
The contract in question – 071 ********** is suppose to have been upgraded in November already and according to your call centre agents there is no record of the upgrade having been done. As far as they are concerned and your systems the upgrade is due on 1 Feb 2017. With this in mind I feel very strongly about the way in which this has been handled by Vodacom. I am posting my gripe on Hello Peter for the second time and maybe, just maybe I may be able to get this issue resolved.
I was told by your Agents that I would receive a call within 24 – 48 hours. This was on Tuesday morning around 9:30 am and I have yet to receive any call – not even a response to all my emails.
I find this totally unacceptable for such a large institution to treat their customers so unfairly.
I was promised this would be sorted, a refund made and still no action has taken place.
If I don’t receive a call I will most definitely be cancelling my debit order to ensure that I don’t pay for something I don’t have.
Maybe this way the refunds / credits will be allocated and the upgrade done correctly.
