******ion. Plain and simple. That's what you get when you sign a contract with Vodacom Business. Our business has been with Vodacom for nearly 5 years now and somehow the contract's monthly rates have skyrocketed. I can't really explain how. When I now asked to downgrade to a different package, despite being only a few months away from the end of the contract, the penalty to downgrade to a lower package is ridiculous, something like R10k to move down to a different package, just so I can save a few hundred rands a month. I can tell you this, through my dealings with booking luxury hotels and holidays for many South African business leaders, I will make sure to mention this to each and every influential person I talk to. Since this is a business account, other businesses should be aware of the outrageous trap that is Vodacom business. It's despicable and Vodacom should be ashamed of these predatory practices. They keep small businesses trapped in their tight-fisted contracts with no way to even change their package to a lower rate in these challenging times. Vodacom is not interested in helping small businesses that are struggling during Covid-19. They will gladly bleed businesses dry despite having long ago made profits on mature contracts. I have now resorted to seeking legal advice in the hopes that the consumer protection act can somehow get me out of this trap. My hopes aren't high though. If you're a business considering getting a business contract with Vodacom, don't. Predatory practices are their M.O.
