Exploitation of the elderly that is not tech savy
My mother, aged 72 asked me why she is paying so much for her Vodacom account. After reviewing her statement, it seems that she is paying for 2 internet contracts apart from her normal cellphone contract. Misleading telemarketers send her an internet device after she said she does not want one. After sending the device back and paying for the delivery herself, she is still charged for the device and contract each month. Customer service in store is extremely insufficient and there is no one that can help when you try to phone customer service. For this reason I am posting on here for some sort of feedback. I am extremely disappointed in Vodacom for exploiting the elderly and telemarketers who's only aim is to get their figures up and does not consider what they are doing to the elders monthly pension.
