EXPERIENCE FROM HELL AT VODACOM WORLD

Worst experience from Vodacom World ever!

I decided to port my number from Cell C back to Vodacom after about 10 years to due uncer*****y about Cell C's future. Been regretting this since day one.

I want to Vodacom world on Friday. I spent 2.5 hours at Vodacom. Was told credit approval will take 1-4 hours and I will be contacted. No one contacted me on Friday afternoon.

Went back on Saturday, only to be told we have to do the application from scratch! So Friday was a waste. I was there for 2 hours on Saturday, only to be told after everything, oh sorry, we can’t do a port over a weekend. Seriously, couldn’t this have been said when we started??

Monday, I sent an email before 8 to ask that the port is done asap and that the phone is delivered. No response for hours. Eventually got a call at around 13:00 to say everything is now ready but they probably won’t have a driver. I told the agent I will pick up the phone, I’ll be there in an hour. He said he would ensure that everything is ready for me that I could just sign then go. Got there exactly an hour later. Agent was on lunch, when he came back I had to wait another hour to get the phone and finalise the order.

So all in all I spent 5.5 hours physically at Vodacom. I spent 3 hours on the road driving to Vodacom World THREE times and not even sure of the cost to drive there and STILL MY PHONE IS NOT WORKING! When people phone my old phone with a CellC simcard that phone still rings? How is this possible if this number has been ported?? I specifically brought this to the agents attention and he told me things work different if you port a number to a contract.

I have phoned your call centre and they can’t even pick up my number on your network and their advice was to go back to the store where I took out the contract.

I have never in my life experienced service like this. I can’t understand that you think it is okay to treat a new customer like this?

I have also sent 3 emails to the agents that assisted me this morning as I can't phone to follow up as I have not network but have still not received any reply.

The 2 staff members that assisted was Donna Booi (Diago) and Thabo Nkonye

I honestly don't know what my next step can be? I can't spend another hour on the road to drive to Vodacom World as they are in any case not equipped to deal with customers. I please need help
