Exorbitant data usage due to Vodacom system

I posted a complain about the charges for “Data Usage” on my May 2016 invoice on Monday the 16th of May 2016, and I’m still waiting to hear from Vodacom about my compliant. My complaint stems from the R2100 in “data usage charges” that I am being charged, my contract came to an end at the end of April 2016 and I advised Vodacom that I would like to be transferred to prepaid from the 1st of May 2016. Approximately 10 days or so before the end of April 2016 the *111# USSD stopped working (it said something like “CURS mismatch”) and therefore I could not check my data balance or buy data, I called the Vodacom call centre countless times to ask about this and I was told that my number was being migrated to a new system (C3D system) and that there were problems on Vodacom’s side and therefore the call centre agent could not even load data on my behalf as the migration process was blocking her. I asked how this would impact my data and I was informed that I still had data and the problems with the system would be fixed soon. As Vodacom is well aware, this problem with migration was only resolved on the 5th of May 2016. I have been charged R2100 for data usages even though I tried my best to buy data and was told that the problem was with the migration process. From my point of view I’m being charged exorbitant amounts because of Vodacom’s problem with the migration process, had this process worked properly then I would have bought data like I do every other month, this is a VODACOM problem.

I still haven’t received any feedback regarding my complaint and I toke it upon myself to contact the subscriber collection department on *** (Wednesday the 18th of May 2016) where I was helped by a very competent lady who admitted that the migration process issue was a Vodacom problem and that I was not the only customer complaining. I received a reference number for my compliant *** and I was told that I would be contacted by Vodacom, I still haven’t heard anything as of today 20th of May 2016

Could I get assistance with my query because my next step would be to talk to my bank to hold that debit. Please respond to this query, I am not the only one affected

Best regards,
