I have just about reached my witts end with this Data Issue with Vodacom and I really hope it can be wrapped up and finalized within this week, as my service is now Soft Locked and I am in no position of do anything with my phone. I have had nothing but a consistent bill till about APRIL 2017 when I was slapped with an exorbitant out of bundle data charges, as explained to one of the consultants, I am fully aware that Vodacom sends SMS’s once you have exceeded your Data and have gone into this Out of Bundle Charges … I received about 2 Or 3 sms’s indicated that … if im not mistaken the last sms I received for that was for an amount nothing higher than R800 in April 2017, Which I was aware of. But that was the last sms and these amounts for DATA seem to be a regular total on my bills uptil now. I have wifi at work and at home, My bill has 1 gig extra data on a My Gig Promotion and has a night time 1G, so this for me was a shocker. I had brought it up with one of the consultants and had then received a credit note of R6864.04 as a “Gesture of Goodwill” leaving me with an outstanding balance of R8963.24 In April May 2017 my data Usage billed a whopping total of R1928.73 … without a SINGLE SMS June was R401.98. I am currently Soft locked and have been since the 6th July 2017 as I demand clarity on the following points listed above. While this would need to undergo an investigation please take note of the following … over and above what was mentioned above : A full detailed report of Data Usage to be extracted and forwarded to me Read and check Report on “Out of bundle rates” sms’s that were sent to me during the months “May – July” clearly indicated time and amounts sent via those sms’s Explanation of “Content Services” on my bill as well. Amounts ranging from “R18.42 – R85.96” Feb & March 2017 Bill Explanation of USSD amount of R0.70 May 2017 Bill A National MMS that was “sent” in March R0.70 March 2017 Bill Kindly note, that TILL TODAY 03.10.2017 – not one of these issues have been resolved. I spoke to a consultant TUESDAY 19.09.2017 and requested an outstanding Balance … She advised me that ALL that was outstanding was R1800, I asked that so once my stop order of R1800 goes off on the 22nd September 2017 will my account be upto date. She advised that since Monday (26.09.17) is a holiday, it might only reflect TUESDAY 27.09.17 and asked me to rather call in to notify them of payment and that was that. R1800 went off my account Friday 22nd September 2017 faithfully … only to call into Vodacom TUESDAY 27.09.17 spoke to a Male consultant who advised me that, the previous week’s consultant had given incorrect information and that a Balance of R5076.00 is still outstanding on my account. I requested that we pull out the previous call, consultant logged a request to have a Q.A listen to my call on the 19.09.17 and advise me that it takes 72 hours to receive feedback. A week later … I am still waiting. During these 7 days, I have spoken to Dolly & Lerato, Who are both from the Legal department … who have advised me that my number is on a temp prepaid basis, till queries have been resolved. Which is not an issue currently. My issue is that … Even though they have moved me on to “Prepaid” for the time being, I am still unable to load airtime / Date / make calls … somewhat like what I was when I was “Softlocked” Legal Department tells me there is nothing they can do on their side, as it does reflect “Prepaid” on their side, I have to speak to “Customer Care/Service” … call them and they tell me there is nothing they can do, as the status reflects “Prelegal” on their side. Can ANYBODY shed some light on all these queries,
