Exorbitant Data charges accumulated underhandedly, without even informing me!!!

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for the last decade or so and have an above average spend with them, being elevated to Platinum status.. Whatever that means because I see no benefit in that as my communication to them doesn't even warrant responses from them.
Over the last few months, I have been slapped with exorbitant data charges and although I have tried to argue the ********* nature of charging someone out of bundle rates without their knowledge, it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I have been told that the onus is on me to know when my data is depleted, I suppose this is a normal gift that normal people must have since it is expected that I should miraculously know this. I have also on occasion been told that I have no choice but to pay. So much for trying to be empathetic with your customer. Now after complaints and open ended queries, I find myself once again slapped with a high bill, because unbeknown to me and without any notification from Vodacom, my data had apparently been depleted and I was being charged out of bundle rates. I cannot even begin to describe how frustrated I am to find out only after I have been charged, that I was in fact being billed this way. It's **************** if I do say so, being charged R5000 for less than 5GB of data? Do I really use upto 10gb of data a month? Because I doubt this. I have been offered a discount on occasion which would then leave me paying R3000 for under 5GB of data, which Vodacom deems acceptable still and sees no wrong in that!! I am now fed up of this blatant *****ery. Nonetheless I have now decided to cancel my contract with Vodacom as I am no longer willing to be treated terribly or subjected to blasphemous and dishonest activity by Vodacom. Oh and by the way, I am still awaiting a response or call from the all edged Platinum Desk that I am supposedly privy to. I suppose I should be lucky if I at least receive a rely on this platform since all other platforms have failed me!
