Ex Nashua Mobile client: 860% increase of account
Has been a Nashua Mobile client since 2003 until all contracts reverted back to the networks. I have two Vodacom data contracts with two data cards each ( a total of four Vodacom data cards) and one MTN contract (two numbers)

My instructions with Nashua Mobile were that all four data cards should softlock once data has been depleted and only unlocked on my instruction. I noticed a significant increase in my monthly billing since the move to the networks. I then established that Vodacom has removed the softlock instruction and increased the call limites for each card to over R1,000 (unaware of this I never realised when the data was been depleted).

On only one of the contracts the average monthly data costs amounted to R473.05 over the past 9 months since the moved to Vodacom, compared to the last 6 months' Nashua Mobile invoices on the same contract averaging a monthly cost of R55.04 - an 860% increase in the invoiced amount.

Called the customer line repeatedly. I was informed it would be investigated, but no feedback since. I have repeatedly tried to contact their customer service unsuccessfully. This matter is now being refered to the Consumer Commission.
