I was notified by a colleague that their vodacom account has increased this month. I checked mine out of interest. My account has been increasing every month since January. I called the first time they were unable to assist me and told me that their manager would call me back. After no body called me back, I called the call center back. They then notified me that an sms was sent to all of their customers on the 26th of Feb to notify us of the price increase due to inflation. I never received that sms. After I had to go through each of my statements number by number. First the story was the VAT increase with the reason for the change, when i pointed out that the VAT amount on my bill did not change then he just moved onto the next bill. The next bill was because one of my contracts expired and their was a discount that was granted that they have now removed since the contract has expired. Where I then queried to ask why i was never notified that the contract was expiring. This should have been done by was only done to anger while i was on the line with them. The sms stated that the contract in question only expires 2020.04.24 but according to them my contract had already expired. Nobody could give me answers. Now I was told that their is an additional increase in my account so in 4 months my balance is not been the same.
I was told that Vodacom has the right to increase their prices to account for inflation. I am sorry but i have colleagues that are with MTN and even ****ing TELKOM doesnt do that. TELKOM for crying out loud.
Now they tell me that my primary number on the system is not the current number that they manage to get hold of me just fine. I am so sorry but how the hell was i supposed to know that. That number is not on any of my statements. This was just a 40 minute call where nobody could give me answers on what the **** my account will be next month. If i could cancel the entire account i would because this is just theft.
