eSIM Swap
I have an ESIM for my phone. I recently purchased a new phone and needed to move the ESIM to the new phone.
1. Called Customer Care who advised I should visit a Vodacom shop 2. Visit the Vodacom and advised that I have to swap back to a physical sim first (R63) and the swap to a new ESIM (R185). Total cost R248. 3. Each Sim swap takes 3 hours - so that is at least 6 hours to complete the change, and requires 2 visits to the Vodacom shop as they can only do one step at a time.
In summary for me to simply continue using an existing line - I must pay R248, visit the Vodacom shop twice and spend at least 6 hours without service.
Having been a Vodacom customer for over 20 years, this is the final straw that says Vodacom doesn’t care at all about the customer experience and will try and profit from anything even simply trying to continue using their service.
