eSIM Nightmare - Vodacom

Tried to move my eSim to a new phone. Impossible for Vodacom although that tech exists. Why we need to lag behind. Was told that I needed to do a sim swap to a physical sim so went to the Mall@Carnical branch to do that. They never informed me that they actually need to perform the eSIM activation in store so when I got home after speaking to customer support on the phone I was told I needed to go back to the store for them to do the activation. Fine the following day I go in to the branch again and the sim gets converted to an eSIM which could be activated 3 hours later after scanning the QR code sent to the account holder’s email address and entering a code also sent via email. After 3 hours the physical sim had no signal anymore and I received a QR code but no code. I phone vodacom customer care again and walk through the steps again and as no code was received I now need to go into the store for a ****ing third time to perform the entire process again. The operator stated that the email address on the system is an old email address not in use and that is where the code was sent to. The QR code was sent to the correct email address. Obviously this consultant working at the mall@carnival branch didn’t bother to check the system to make sure the correct email address is on the system to which the code should be sent with the QR code sent whilst in store to a written down email address. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES not followed resulting in unnecessary trips and time wasted to perform a sim swap. Talk about incompetence. You know Vodacom is a private entity not a public entity last time I checked.
