Escalation: Outstanding Billing Dispute and Service Verification
I am lodging this complaint regarding a long outstanding billing dispute with Vodacom relating to Account I***-4.
The matter was formally logged and acknowledged under references:
* SR*** * EC-2915-172P2K
My concern is that I am being billed for services which, to the best of my knowledge, were never successfully provisioned or activated.
At the time of the application, I was advised that either:
* my existing prepaid number would be ported to contract, or * a new number/SIM would be issued.
However:
* no SIM card was ever received, * no mobile number was communicated to me, * no activation appears to have taken place, and * no voice or data services were utilised.
Despite raising these concerns formally with Vodacom and requesting verification of:
* SIM activation records, * linked mobile number, * provisioning records, and * usage records,
I have still not received substantive feedback or resolution after several weeks.
I am simply requesting a proper investigation and reassessment of the billing based on whether the service was ever successfully provisioned and activated in the first place.
I hope this matter can now receive urgent attention and be resolved fairly.
Thank you for bringing your complaint to our attention.
Please be advised that a consultant will be in touch with you shortly to assist with your query.
⚠️ Important Notice: Beware of phishing ****s. Vodacom will never contact you via WhatsApp to request your personal information.

I am following up regarding my unresolved billing dispute relating to Account I***-4, including the HelloPeter escalation and the previously logged references:
- SR***
- EC-2915-172P2K
While I appreciate the acknowledgement received and the indication that the matter would be investigated, I have unfortunately still not received any substantive feedback regarding the core issues raised.
Kind regards,
Buzwe Fani

• EC-2915-172P2K
• HelloPeter Escalation
Despite the matter having been raised several weeks ago and subsequently escalated, I have still not received any substantive response addressing the concerns raised.
To date, I have not been provided with:• The mobile number linked to the account
• SIM allocation and activation records
• Service provisioning records
• Usage records supporting the charges billed
• The outcome of the requested account reassessment
My dispute remains unchanged: to the best of my knowledge, no SIM card was received, no number was activated, and no contracted voice or data services were utilised.
I therefore respectfully request a formal written outcome of the investigation within 7 business days.Should Vodacom maintain that the account is valid, I request documentary evidence supporting the activation, provisioning and usage of the services billed.
Until such time as the dispute has been fully investigated and concluded, I reserve all rights regarding the validity of the charges in question.I trust this matter can now be brought to a fair and timely resolution.Kind regards,Buzwe Fani

Thank you for your response.
Following your advice, I contacted Vodacom's Legal Division telephonically and was informed that someone would revert to me regarding my dispute. Unfortunately, no one contacted me.
Instead, I subsequently received emails from the Legal Collections team requesting that I provide proof of cancellation or a signed settlement quotation in order to confirm cancellation of the contract.
Respectfully, this is not the subject of my dispute.
1. At no stage have I requested cancellation of the contract.
2. My dispute has consistently been that the contracted mobile service was never successfully provisioned and activated.
3. To date, I have been been stating catorgorically that there is no documentary evidence of: • the mobile number allocated to the account;
• proof of SIM card delivery;
• SIM activation records;
• service provisioning records; and
• usage records supporting the charges billed.
These are the documents would have made the billing valid.
I have cooperated fully throughout this process, followed every escalation path provided by Vodacom, and contacted the Legal Division as instructed. However, my original dispute remains unanswered.
I therefore respectfully request that my query be referred to the appropriate department for investigation and that a written response be provided addressing the actual issues raised, rather than the cancellation of the contract.
I remain committed to resolving this matter fairly and in good faith. Kind regards, Buzwe
