Endless drama in all the years I've supported Vodacom Westgate

First dealing I had with Vodacom Westgate just over 6 years ago while upgrading to two business contracts. They magaged to lose my licence card between the photocopy machine to the desk but apparently their security cameras where not working at the time so we could not find it and had to go through the hassle of getting another. To top it all I got a bill for over R6000 for the first month as they failed to tell me that my old contract was still going to be active for another month.

Second dealing was after one of our two business phones got ****** in Pietersmaritzburg. Cancelled the sim and blocked the phone telephonically and reported it ****** to the authorities( Pietersmaritzburg SAPS). On my return to JHB I requested a SIM swap at the Westgate branch. My phone was dead quiet for two days until I worked out that the SIM was duplicated on the other contract. The new phone I received was a downgrade from what I had before.

Third dealing was not as bad. Got our new business phones, DVD player and remote helicopter. DVD player was found to be faulty from get go but could not be swapped out as there was no more stock available.

Fourth dealing shortly after we got our new phone and cancelled the other contract. The new phone got ****** in a mugging about a week after purchase but had hassles for over a month to get a replacement as the documentation had not been processed as yet because of a fax not going through(Loss of business).

Fifth dealing after receiving crazy bills I enquired after my line was cut(loss of business again) I was told I am on an open line. Open line? You get billed out of rate minutes after you have hit your CAP. I downgraded to a top up package years ago as we hardly used the "free" minutes. I asked the person doing the upgrade to put me on the same package I've always been on. Why was I put on open line this time and can't even top up(Loss of business again)? Was told I'd be contacted by Monday, luckily I did not hold my breath.

I basicaly get told "shame sorry for you". You can pay in R13000 to cancel and open up a new contract or migrate but it will cost a bit more every month. Migrate?!!! I'll migrate to another service provider and convince everyone I know to do the same.

I've paid my bills no matter how rough my month has been and been a loyal client of Vodacom since a teen.

Seems all the Staff at Vodacom Westgate across from the KFC are more intersted in their commissions than taking the time to complete the transaction properly and accurately. Can't complain about their service because there is none.

Kind regards,

Alistair.
