Empty Promises and Bad Service

My problems with Vodacom started last year October when Vodacom wanted to migrate my package to a 'much cheaper' package. Firstly the guy that phoned me never identified himself, and after telling me I was going to 'pay much less', I was migrated to another package. You can imagine my shock when I received my statement and in fact the new package was higher. After numerous attempts to have my packaged migrated back, I was told that Vodacom would do this if I was to pay the more expensive package first. I made the payment and I once again requested the migration back to my cheaper package, I was told that due to my 'credit rating' I couldn't be migrated back. How is it possible that my 'credit rating' allowed me to move to a more expensive package but not back to a cheaper package???? After much frustration and numerous attempts telephonically, I went to Vodacom at Brits Mall and explained the whole sorry story to them. They listened to all my recordings I had and agreed that I had a valid case but could not assist me. They made a phone to call to another department and sent through all my details. I received a reference number on 22 Feb (1- ********** ********** ) and on 25 Feb my wife received a call stating that I would receive a credit of R127 x 3 and that I would be migrated back to my old package on 1 March. Needless to say this did not happen and as I have refused to pay my account until this matter has been resolved, my line has been disconnected. Numerous times I have received calls to pay the outstanding amount and the last time I tried to explain that there was an outstanding query on my line, I was told to (once again) lodge a call and the guy put the phone down in my ear. I have since made a payment of R842 which according to my calculations, is what is due from my side. The service is really pathetic, slow and mostly non existent. After many promises of action and call backs, my issue is still unresolved, which has left me with no choice but to write this review, in hope that someone will sort out my matter.
