Empty promises

Good day, as we all THINK we know, Vodacom is the best, trustworthy cellular network in South Africa. Think again.

I have a contract with Vodacom under our business name, which is maybe one of at least 20 other contracts we have with Vodacom.

Very excited about upgrading I received my iPhone 5s early last year. 2 months in the sim reader malfunctioned and I was now stuck with a device that could only work with wi-fi connection. As my phone was still under warranty I was sure this would be taken care of straight away. I took my phone in to V&A Waterfront'Waterfronts Vodacom to be look at. The consultant booked it in for repairs and after waiting over a month I was told that they won'won't repair my phone and I have to buy myself out of my contract to upgrade if I wanted a working phone. I phoned Vodacom headoffice to get help and the consultqnt said that she would follow up with the disgusting case and come back to me with a solution. Need I say more, I am still waiting.

One would think that doing business with quite a big company would be a "biggie" for Vodacom.

I have been struggling with Vodacom for over a year now and obviously it was a clever move from them, as my useless phone is no longer under warranty anymore.

A very frustrated customer
