e-Sim with vodacom is a nightmare.

Back to the same annoying process again with Vodacom prepaid e-Sim. In 2023 I went to vodacom to get an e-Sim activated on my iPhone and I struggled a lot till I reported to Hellopeter and it was sorted. That phone now died with my vodacom e-Sim in the device and I got a new iPhone. Firstly the call centre reached out to me on my cell number to inform me that I need to do a sim swap using vodacom app. I tied and I was unlucky since e-Sim shows as active on the other phone. I was then referred to the shop at Westgate mall where I was told that prepaid e-Sim swap is not possible. I was told I need to get another phone or a router and then do a sim swap. Long story short I was told that I can only return after 30 days to do a sim swap back to e-Sim from physical sim that they offered me now. I apparently took the physical sim and I went to guy the router and one of the shops around but I will not be able to answer any calls coming to that number for the next 30 days and that is my business number.

What an experience.
