Duped by Voda-con

After 13 years with Vodocam (aka Voda-Con), I opted to move my cellphone contract to my bank. FNB. When I called to break the news of my departure they pleaded for me to stay if the matched the deal. For the sake of zero admin I said okay. Mistake. My subsequent bill was not what was agreed with the renewal department. After I recovered from the bill shock I phoned with the simple request that they replay the voice recording and give me what was promised over the phone. After all, that's why the conversation is recorded. It's the fallback in case one of the parties suffers with Amnesia! That was in April! I have now made three such calls - all of which involve a tedious recount of the issues plus my life history. Seems like that recording is really really hard to track down. What is burning my bottom is that I have since received a call from a marketing department at Voda con telling me how inefficient my package is and that they can offer me a better deal. Looking for any advice out there in jogging this giants' memory. It's now become a matter of principle so perhaps I must bite the bullet and get a lawers letter drawn up...What a waste....
