I signed up for 2 new contracts to end of November 2019 (moving from prepaid to contract). I was debited the pro-rata amount for both contracts which was fine (as my next debit would be 20 December).
On 29 November 2019 I asked Vodacom to cancel my contract (within the 14 day cancellation period) as I found a better deal. I changed my mind and called Vodacom the next day to not cancel but the process had already gone through.
A day or two later the contract was back online. I was expecting a debit for 3 of my Vodacom numbers on 20 December. On 29 December (12h26) I called in to query why the debit order has not gone off and Sinalo advised that there is a credit loaded on my account and the next debit order will go off in Jan for the normal amount of the 3 contracts (and that I will still have a credit of R70).
According to the app, I had no outstanding amounts on my account (I have screenshots of messages to verify this)
A few days ago I noticed that the app states I have an outstanding amount of R1965.89 due on 2 Feb 2020. This works out to double the amount of what my debit order is meant to be and goes off on 2 Feb instead of 20 January (as my debit has always been the 20th of the month).
I queried it today and the agent told me that I was supposed to be debited in December but it has now rolled over to the next month.
This is completely unacceptable to be double debited when I queried the debit order the first time the agent told me I have a credit on my account and today I’m told that is not the case.
Please resolve this urgently
