Double Charges With Upgrade - No feefback from Vodacom on query

I recently found out that I qualify for an upgrade with Vodacom.

I then visited a store and the lady at te store(Somerset Mall) confirmed this and said I can upgrade my contract. I did ask her if there is any other charges and she said that there is no other costs just the new contract amount.

I then proceeded in taking out a new contract and device. I then recently noticed the amount being a lot more than what I agreed on and phoned Vodacom to query this. The logged a request on the 3 May at 21:23 and the consultsnt said I will have feedback within 24 hours.

24 hours passed and I phoned again and this time I was informed they are dealing with the request but the feedback takes 5 work days since it was logged.

5 workdays passed and I had to phone again as I had no feedback. This time I was told that they are sorry for the delay but they are escalating this to a senior manager that will phone me before the day is over. No call received again I phoned today and asked what is happening.

The lady I spoke to had me on the line for 21 minutes(I pay for from my MTN number) and told me that someone cancelled my origenal request I submitted! How is this eve possible? 12 days of waiting for no feedback and then for them to inform me that I have to take this up with the Vodacom store as the upgrade was not done over the phone...

This is completely unacceptable and I feel like writing to the papers to warn the local community about the way Vodacom does bussiness.

I need feedback on this matter urgently and you can contact me on my MTN number as the other SIM is in my IPAD. ********** 993.
