Double Billed on contract: Does Vodacom actually care? (no)

Im December I upgraded my cellphone contract with Vodacom on their online system. The process was simple and easy - the catch is that the device never went through, although the package was upgraded. I then tried to cancel the contract due to the error on their system, which was near impossible. When I went in store to Canal Walk, they were unable to upgrade due to the contract still being in place, despite the retentions department confirming that it had been cancelled. I contacted the retentions department numerous times to request a cancellation but struggled to get anywhere. Eventually Tashreeq at Canal Walk upgraded my contract and I received my device. The issue is that one of the failed upgrades stayed active, resulting in excessive billing on my account, which Vodacom deducted via debit order. I reversed the payment and blocked the account to prevent vodacom from taking further money from my account. Since then (January 2017) i have been struggling to get my account sorted out. I did receive partial credit for some of their mess ups, but I still have double deductions for handset installments, which Vodacom doesn't seem to understand. I have lodged in excess of 20 complainst with the call centre, which is useless - no one calls back, or provides feedback at all. Staff are rude and simply state that my account is in arrears, no one looks at what is actually happening. I have since paid what i understand is owed to Vodacom, with payments being made in March and May 2017 to the value of approximately R1600. My account has been locked and my outbound calls blocked because "my credit limit has been reached". The call centre has still not called me back. I have requested a cancellation of my tablet deal, which I will no longer be paying for at Vodacom - I want to leave Vodacom and take my contract elsewhere. Still waiting for that quote as well. I am sick of the shocking service at Vodacom and the lack of feedback on my issues. What does it take to get assistance at Vodacom? It really seems that no one at Vodacom cares about customer service. Vodacom is disgusting, their service is a joke. If possible, I would leave Vodacom completely.
