Don't use Vodapay app! Cannot cancel any purchases once done. They just keep charging your card
Recently bought a recurring data bundle on the app. When I wanted to cancel the app gave an error (seemingly you can buy, but not cancel on the app). I called Customer Care, which cancelled it for me.
A month later I was charged again. Called CC again and was told they cannot find it on their system. They don't know where or how it works. The only way to cancel it is to remove my card details from their system. So I did that.
A month later I was charged again. It seems Vodacom is just milking their clients and making it harder and harder to cancel products. Thereby just leeching our money to pad their pockets

21 Dec 2024, 15:34Making you aware?
I made Vodacom aware in October and again in November. Companies like you only care once we take complaints public.
You don't care about your customers... And the way you handle this case will prove it once again.

27 Dec 2024, 15:39Just got a voicemail to tell me to remove my CC details from the app. Which I had done in October. I had also mentioned this on the calls to CC and in my complaint above.
Thanks Vodacom... Proving again that you did not read my request, because you do not care.
I took that advice and still got charged!
Looks like I will have to cancel my card to just to stop Vodacom from taking my money.

22 Jan 2025, 11:08I received a call from Vodacom to apologise and to say they have resolved the issue.
But on Sunday I got charged again. I couldn't do anything but laugh at how pathetic it is when a company cannot do the simple things. Stop charging a customer who has repeatedly and for over 3 months said he doesn't want your service anymore.
Just shocking. Looks like I will have to cancel my card to stop Vodacom from charging it again for something I don't want.

26 Mar 2025, 07:01Still getting charged for data that I cancelled last year. No way to stop it. Vodacom has tried multiple times. They cannot control their own credit card billing system and nobody seems to care.
Will have to cancel my card. What a joke
