Don't take Fibre with Vodacom

Taking up Fibre with @vodacom has been hell on earth. You should stick to cell phone contracts and *****ing data. Fibre is not your thing. I have not had connectivity since Tuesday 1 July. I logged a call on Wednesday 2 July. It's Sunday 6 July and my issue is nowhere near resolved. I work from home and my children are in school holidays, we use wifi on the TV. I've had to buy so much data that I didn't budget for and each new consultant I speak to is more useless than the last one, telling me they will get back to me and they never do. I am so disappointed and extremely frustrated. Even the installation process did not go smoothly, I thought once I went online it would be over and done with. I should have seen the ****py beginning as a sign not to sign up with vodacom. I'm told if I want to cancel I must service one month's notice. What notice when I don't have service? Please don't annoy me. I want to cancel this non-existant service IMMEDIATELY so I can use an alternative and competent service provider.

To anyone who may come across this and think "oh at least @Vodacom is responsive and committed to resolving queries for customers" please know that they are NOT. They have the same generic response and they don't follow through. Their consultants will tell you they will call later with feedback and they never do. They send this response on hello Peter and no one follows through. I've been without internet 5 days and I bet when they deduct money from my account they will not be prorating it for the days I was without nor compensate me for all the money I spent on data as a result of this inconvenience. Do not fall for it. It's all a ruse. @vodacom will give you very bad service, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for Fibre!!!! I can't wait to cancel. Tomorrow morning 8am it's me and the cancelations department.

Here is my cancelation reference SR***. I am being told that I have a contract cancelation of R2900 that I will be liable for. I am also being told to wait for a month. I do not want to be liable for this. I also don't want to wait a month. In the meantime that I am not connected and my line is not released I have to buy data. It's EXPENSIVE! In the few weeks I've had this Fibre I have barely had connectivity, as I type this I have not had connectivity for 6 days straight. You keep telling me it's metro Fibre fault. I don't care! It's frustrating me and costing me, you are preventing me from leaving and charging me for your incompetence, you are charging me for wanting to cancel even though I don't have service to begin with. You failed your end of the contract to provide me with wifi. And now I'm being punished for that. NO!

Sorry I cannot continue like this. Please waive the cancelation fee. As explained on other platforms, I have had to take up a telkom data Sim to use on my old router. I'm disappointed as I have been a vodacom customer for 13 years. I used to have home internet with vodacom with my *** number. The contract expired a few months ago and I decided to take up Fibre instead of continuing with home internet. Trying to switch from a router to Fibre has been a nightmare since. From the shoddy workmanship on my property to the customer service. I'm so disheartened and upset. I no longer wish to continue with this Fibre. I've had to spend a lot of money on data during the downtime days. I was nonchalantly told there was no ETA for my query and that left me no choice but to take up a data contract as I needed data with working from home. I'm now locked in a 24month data contract so that I did not want to take but was forced to. It's not my fault this did not work out. I don't want to be punished with a cancelation fee. I still have 4 lines with vodacom. My number *** and 3 other devices for my children. How you handle this cancelation fee will determine whether I will stay on with my children when our contracts expire, or if I should cut ties with vodacom find a new home for us.
