Don’t Sign Up with Vodacom

A few months ago, I called to cancel my contract. I was sent an early termination quotation, but it did not include any banking details for payment. I followed up via email requesting those details but never received a response.

On 27 October 2025, I called again to cancel my contract. The agent confirmed that the contract would be cancelled and that my number would be converted to prepaid. I even received an email confirming that my number would move to prepaid at the end of the month.

However, on 6 November 2025, I received an invoice for November, and the amount charged is double my usual monthly bill. This prompted me to review my emails, where I found two messages — one confirming my cancellation and another containing an early termination quotation stating that if I didn’t sign and return it, my contract would continue on a month-to-month basis.

I don’t understand why I received an early termination quotation when my cancellation had already been confirmed. It feels as though the company is making it unnecessarily difficult to cancel and is trying to charge me unfairly.
