Don`t get an OPPO phone!

When upgrading my phone at the end of 2021 I was ready to go for yet another Samsung phone, however the consultant chatted me into a Oppo device. I was skeptical but he assured me that they didn`t get any comebacks and that the supplier of the phone easily replaces the phone if it gives any problems - they do not usually repair them. A few months down the line my oppo started switching off and I would struggle for a long time to get it back on. I visited the store and the manager asked whether I had a memory card in the phone and that if I did I should remove it as it has been known to give problems. I then removed the memory card but the problem persisted and I was told to visit one of the bigger stores. My phone once again switched off and I couldn't get it back on....Phone was sent to JHB and more than 3 weeks later I received it back saying that it just needed a software upgrade. I had to phone multiple times to find out where my phone was and what was happening to it. I was not offered a phone to use during that time. After a few weeks the problem started again - the phone would just switch off randomly but I could at least get it back on so I didn`t go back to the store immediately as I couldn't be without a phone again for so long. Then it switched off again and was just completely dead - just after my son played at Eistedford - valuable photos and memories lost forever....I returned to the store again and my phone was once again sent off to JHB. I spoke to the manager and insisted that I want the phone replaced as I couldn`t go through starting over on a "new" phone every few weeks as the phone comes back completely wiped.....However after sending the phone to JHB again I was informed that they have replaced the motherboard....if this phone breaks again it will be out of its repair warranty period and I will be sitting without a phone... I was given a phone to use in the meantime but it is soooooo slow even whatsapp takes forever to open. I have lost valuable photos and memories twice now as I was not able to back up completely. Everytime I have to reinstall apps at my own expense for data used. I use my phone to run my business and it has been very inconvenient. The manager really tried to help me the second time around but the repair center is adamant that they have fixed it this time.....I wonder for how long. I will NEVER get new brand of cellphone again.

Yes, I was advised that my phone has been repaired for the SECOND time.....It is exactly THAT which has upset me so much!! This phone must some type of factory issue - breaking twice in less than a year?? I would like to know what will happen if it stops working AGAIN and it is out of the repair warrantee?? SO my issue was NOT handled to my satisfaction

I haven`t even bothered to go and fetch that phone - I don`t even want to go through all the trouble of setting it up for a 3rd time since getting it and just possibly losing everything again!!
