If you're thinking about getting a Vodacom contract to build a good credit record, my advice is: don't do it.

Vodacom has put me through months of stress. They damaged my credit record even though I always went out of my way to pay my account on time, and often even earlier than required. Then they would tell me that payments had not been received. I've been fighting this issue since March, and I'm exhausted.

I would not recommend Vodacom at this point. Honestly, I wish I had never taken out the contract. They hit me with a bill of over R5,000, yet I've been paying R1,100 every month, and somehow the amount seems to stay the same.

You can call in and try to get answers, but in my experience, you'll likely end up dealing with rude agents who don't help solve the problem.

This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a service provider.
