Don't be a V V( VODACOM VICTIM)

We took a two year UNCAPPED wifi contract on 23 November 2022. All that had to be done was vodacom keep their end, and I keep mine . I get an email from vodacom on 14/02/2023 about "FAIR USAGE", stating that if I go beyond 400gigs, they will cut my speed, and if I go more than 600gigs they'll disconnect me, and if I want to connect thereafter I will have to pay an extra amount to buy data.

My contract is uncapped. Nobody told me anything about a fair usage policy! If they did, I would have went with someone else! Being a vodacom customer for over 15 years, I chose to take the contract with them, hoping for simplicity. That's not what I got! I got dishonest people!!! If they couldn't afford to offer that special; they should not have!

Which "honest" people tell you to jump on a plane going to a certain destination, then change the destination mid air? People hijacking the plane! Which honest people offer you water, and give you poison to drink? Heartless people! Which honest people say take your contract with us because you are safe in our hands, and then rob you? VODACOM.

How do we know that they won't manipulate the data to make it seem that we are using more, so that they can make a quick buck. They stooped so low to change the rules of the deal after the contract was signed, who knows how much lower they can go?

Vodacom need to either honor their word, or release my from my contract because upon signing my contract this was not agreed upon. I am paying for uncapped, because uncapped is what I wanted, uncapped is what was advertised, and uncapped is what I signed for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in a +/- ten page contract that has to be signed in the store, nobody alerted me to any fine print stating anything about "Fair data usage"

Before I posted my first breview I attempted to contact customer care on 14/02/2023 called They were supposed to call me back on the 15/02/2023.

I never received a call from either my Hello peter post , or from vodacom customer care.

I posted again on the 17/02/2023 Finally I received a call from Vodacom.

The consultant basically said that the rules were changed. (They just felt like changing the rules, so without any consideration for their hard working customers; they changed it to suit themselves!)

I asked them to cancel our contract because we are not agreeing to it......and I was told THE BIGGEST JOKE: I was told to phone "cancelations" and cancel the contract. They make it sound so easy.....but we all know that the right person, will put you through to the wrong department......and that person will put you through the wrong department....until you finally reach the right person (after wasting one week and two hours of your life) who can't cancel your subscription because of the fine print.......then you have to start from square one and waste a little more of your life and follow the same process until you reach someone who suddenly can cancel your contract for a fee, even though they(vodacom) dishonored the agreement.

They give themselves too much credit for being honest! They give their cancellations department way tooooo much credit! And they seem to think that continuously putting you on hold is being efficient.

Will be sure to tell you guys how the story ends.
