Don't bank on Vodacom FTTH for VoIP reliability or speed.

Don't port your landline or exchange over to Vodacom FTTH. You will be left without a service when their service fails, which is quite often and for long periods of time. Keep your Telkom line if you need it for business or emergency. In my case I am keeping my Neotel service with my 011 *** ***x number. I will not be reliant on Vodacom for VoIP service. I also keep a LTE backup as I have needed it quite a few times to keep contact with clients and when my 100Mb FTTH drops down to 3Mb. I don't have DsTV, so I stream what I watch. Every now and then you wait for the movie or YouTube to stream down. Switch over to LTE and its fine. Just be aware that LTE is more expensive, so just keep for backup. BTW: Unless you have a point to point 100Mb connection, the best speed you will get overseas is around 10Mb or 25Mb to the UK. So anything above 25Mb is a waste of money. Vodacom may not be able to do anything about these issues but they do not tell you this is a fact of life and just how it is. In fact you only find out the hard way.

You have my number, he/she is welcome to call. Its on Neotel, so still works. FTTH still down after 24 hours. Maybe they do not fix anything over the weekend. Fault log response said 8 hours to respond. Anyway, LTE on Cell-C still works.
