Done with Vodacom after 16 jears of being a loyal customer

I have been a Vodacom Subscriber from the first time I had a phone, and this was in Grade 9. I have never experienced any issues with vodacom, untill the 26th of January 2017, when they debited my Bank Account with R17k+ for my Smart S package that averages at about R1,5k at most.

I then discovered that the reason for this was the Data Charges of R15k+ on this invoice, and also discovered an additional Data Charge on my 'Bill So Far' of about R5k+. I immediately logged a dispute on these Data Charges and reversed the payment with FNB.

The Data Charge was then credited from my account by Vodacom, but on the invoices, the VAT charges were not re-calculated, resulting in a 300% or more VAT charge. After spending numerous hours on the phone with Vodacom, I was told that I never disputed the VAT, so eventually, I did. Second dispute logged 17 January (still awaiting the outcome 9 March).

Since of 6 March, I started getting calls and SMSs from Vodacom requesting that I make a promise to pay the amount in arrears (now accumilated to R5900), I did not respond to it, stating that I still have an unresolved dispute with regards to the invoices. I then received an SMS from Vodacom, stating that I PROMISED to make payment and that the full amount will be debited from my Bank Account on the 27th of March.

I immediately started phoning the call centre again and tried to get some feedback on my VAT Dispute. Spending hours on the line, being tranferred to various departments, the end result of this is that Vodacom cannot produce an invoice for the amount in arrears as it was handed over to 'collections' and collections cannot do anything about the amount as it was calculated by 'billing'.

I am desperate to get a valid invoice out of Vodacom so that I can make this payment, so I can cancel this Vodacom account and get them out of my life. I have tried approaching the call centre and even the wall in store but to no avail...
