Done with Vodacom

A few weeks ago a lady phoned me, said she was from Vodacom. She tried to sell me a new contract which included some tablet and a data plan. I kept on telling her that I was not interested but she would not take NO for a answer. As I did not want to sound rude, I listened to what she had to say.

She told me that she was going to send me the tablet with the simcard and papers that I had to sign via courier. I clearly told her that I will have a look at the papers but that I am still not interested. She then told me that if I dont want the contract, there will be a number on the papers which I can phone and they will then arrange for the package to be picked up again.

A courier delivered the package and when I opened it, there were no papers nor was there any number to phone or reference number. I did not open the item or the simcard, hoping that they will phone me so I can arrange that the package could be collected. After a few days, I started receiving calls with a voice recording that stated that my vodacom account is in arrears and that I should make a payment. Since then, I was at 3 different Vodacom stores asking them to help me sort this out. All they do is give me different numbers to phone. I phoned about 4 or 5 different numbers and spoke to consultant and no one can help me.

I have been with vodacom for a very long time and my account has never been behind on payments. Yesterday my cellphone contract has been suspended beacause of this new contract on my name.

I am at the point where I decided to just cancel my subscription with vodacom and change to another provider. As I also found out that Telkom's data bundles is much more affordable than Vodacom as well., this looks like the better option at the moment.

I am fed up with the struggling and many phone calls and holding on for consultants for something that I did not sign up for.

No contact has been made exept for this reply. I have since, phone again all the numbers that every sales person and consultant gave me and still no one can help me. My cellphone which I use for my work, is still suspended which means I can not make any calls.

This is unexceptable. I will no longer suggest Vodacom to anyone.
