Do not buy insurance from Vodacom

A few months back I insured two phones with Vodacom. and in June one of my phones(Huawei P40 lite 5g) fell and got damaged.i took it to the nearest vodashop to have it repaired and I advised them that I have insurance , however a month later I went to check on my phone and it was returned unrepaired and their explanation was that I did not accept the quote. I did explain to them that I have insurance with. They had to book the phone in again and I thought this time things will go smooth but as usual I had to constantly follow with them until finally I was advised that the insurance had declined my claim due to the fact that I have removed the SIM card that insured the device with.i do not believe this to be fair, keeping the SIM card in the phone does not prevent the phone from being damaged. As of today I am cancelling my insurance with Vodacom and I am considering cancelling all my contracts as well.
